Underkofler Award

Seventeen faculty members from the School of Arts and Sciences have been honored with the prestigious James R. Underkofler Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award since its inception in 1991.

About the Award

Each year, one undergraduate faculty member is selected to receive a $1000 award by a committee made up of students, faculty and board members of Edgewood College.

This prestigious gift is funded by the Alliant Energy Foundation Endowment and is coordinated by the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (WAICU).

Nomination Process

Individual faculty members, departments, and student organizations submit nominations of full-time faculty members whose teaching is of such quality that it merits recognition and award.

Selection of candidates reflects the college's mission, purpose and commitment to provide the very best undergraduate education through professional and dedicated teachers.
